Leaks

Given the recent hysterical hue and cry over police bribes, phone hacking and email hacking (something that the political "elite" have known about for years) one would be forgiven for thinking (at least that's how the politicians etc are playing it) that these activities only ever "allegedly" took place wrt News International.

However, I read in today's Telegraph the following:

"Police sources said last night that no drugs had been found at the £2m house.."http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

I thought that, as per the way that the hacking story has been portrayed by the state and the media, that the police only leaked info to News International?

Evidently not!

RIP Amy Winehouse.

Wrt the media who ruthlessly hunted her in packs, as though they were hunting a wounded animal, bear this in mind: addiction is not a spectator sport or soap opera.

I don't doubt other organisations were equally culpable, but only NI seems to have been caught at it. I fear that our illustrious politicians will use what has happened to bring in a privacy law to gag the press, in order that their own 'indiscretions' may be 'swept under the carpet' safely away from public gaze or any investigation.
