Nanny's Secret Database

Is there no end to Nanny's attempts to spy on us and to try to categorise us?

I ask this because I see that Leicestershire County Council are compiling a "secret" (now not secret) database that categorises the appearance of school children's parents.

The bizarre database is being constructed from completed forms that have been given to teaching staff asking them to comment on height, hair and build. Additionally, the staff are required to give a judgement as to whether a parent is overweight or untidy.

The purpose of this?

Seemingly, if Nanny is to be believed, the details will be used to identify parents in the event of a legal action arising.

LOL!

Let me see now:

- untidy
- stocky
- surly etc

That hardly narrows it down does it?

Why not just take a photo and be done with it?

  2. There are some new "Ladybird" books out - one of them covers data gathering:

We received a letter stating that our school was going to weigh our kids and measure their height to weight ratio. We told them to get stuffed and that the state has no right treating children like animals on the farm. Amazingly, the school nurse drone agreed and told us that she wished more parents spoke up as we did. As it stands, most don't hence then nanny state we live in.

I hope every parent in Leicestershire refuses to fill in the forms 'requesting' this information: it's no business whatever of the council.

"Seemingly, if Nanny is to be believed, the details will be used to identify parents in the event of a legal action arising."

It wouldn't surprise me, Ken, if this information is to be used by the social services department to remove children from parents whom they "don't like the look of", or whose description is considered to be 'dodgy'!

Not to mention Chairman Mao Tse Tung and his followers: and we all know how reasonably they behaved towards those who disagreed with them, don't we, boys and girls?

And becoming more and more like a police state every day! It amazes me how councils are on the one hand claiming to be strapped for cash, but can always find funds to spy on people!

    My Lord;

It does get more like a police state every day.
The media are also helping to bring in this state.
I was amused by the reporting in the media of the events in Egypt; they branded them brave, freedom fighters but, in my mind, they were doing very little different to the student protestors and they were branded thugs etc. As far as I could tell, bith groups were protesting against their unfair governments and their policies and venting their frustrations at not being listened too.

BTW; I don't know if anyone else saw the Storyville programme on the BBC last night entitled meet the climate sceptics.....It was a shockingly biased piece of propaganda set up to demonise anyone that questioned the new religion. This morning I have made a formal complaint to the BBC about it and request that anyone else that feels the same do so too. Remember, they are supposed to be balanced and that they are using your money to fund such propaganda.
